Type Locality and Naming
By the village of Khozhalcha, South of Gissar. G.Yu. Alferov et al., 1969.
Synonym: Khozhalchinskaya Suite, Хожальчинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Alluvial and lacustrine-alluvial yellowish-brown feldspar-quartz sands and sandstones, subordinate clays and siltstone (aleurolites). Thickness up to 500 m. The sands and sandstones of the Khozhalchin Fm form the upper, main in thickness, part of the section of the Tandyrchin Fm, from the composition of which they were distinguished.

Lower contact
Along the stratigraphic position, it lies on the Uchkolsay Fm
Upper contact
With erosion overlain by the Guzar Fm.
Regional extent
South of Gissar, Beshkent Depression.

Contains Upper Pliocene gastropods - Thodoxus cf. pallasi Lindn., Th. sp., Micromelania ex gr. apsheronica Koles., M. sp., Clessiniolla sp., Caspia sp., Steptocerella (?) voluta Andrus.; ostracods - Cyprideis littoralis Br., Cypris mandelstamica Lubl. nova, Limnocythere quadrata Mand., L. acristata Schn., L. teniureticulata Ros.
